Cake Order Terms & Conditions
Thank you for ordering your cake with us! We can’t wait to make it - but before we do there are just a few things we need you to know…
All of our cakes are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, gluten, milk, soya and eggs. If you have told us about an allergy we will do our utmost to keep ingredients separate but we cannot guarantee there is not a risk of cross-contamination.
You must tell us when ordering if there is an allergy even if you think it wouldn’t be in your cake we do need to know as we are a busy little kitchen!
Our kitchen is 5* hygiene rated by Wigan Council and is fully insured.
All of our cakes are hand decorated so even though you may have ordered one of our popular cakes from our website or asked for one of our previous creations there may be some slight decoration variations. If your cake is bespoke and you have sent pictures for us to base your design on we may need to make design adjustments due to structure and out of respect for other bakers and cake designers.
Please note it is impossible for us to exactly copy a cake.
We will deliver your cake on the date you’ve requested between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
If you need your cake for the morning of your delivery date we advise you to order for the day before or contact us to see if it is possible, as some delivery days are busier than others.
Once we’ve handed you your cake we cannot take any responsibility for any damage that may occur to the cake.
Please keep fondant cakes at room temperature away from radiators and keep frosted/ drip cakes in the fridge.
Always hold your cake underneath the board please don’t squash in the sides of the box as this will damage the cake.
If you are transporting your cake after we’ve delivered it, we recommend you place the cake in the box in the boot or in the footwell. We do not recommend you transport a cake on a car seat. It needs to be a level surface and ideally with the air conditioning on.
Our cakes will stay fresh for up to 3 days after delivery. We advise you to store leftover cake either in an airtight container or by covering the cut side of the cake with foil or clingfilm. If your cake is decorated with fresh fruit and flowers these will only last a day before they begin to weep or wilt. We advise fresh cream cakes to be consumed on the day of delivery.
If in the unfortunate circumstance you may need to cancel your cake, we reserve the right to hold back 20% of your order to compensate for any orders that may have been turned down because of your booking and for administration costs. We would however try our best to fit you in for another date or hold as credit for future orders.
If we need to cancel your booking a full refund will be issued.
If, after reading our Cake Terms and Conditions you need to change or cancel your cake, please contact us as soon as possible.
Kind Regards
Vickie & Elaine
